Canberra runs an annual Hot Air Balloon Festival. In the years after COVID it has been a much smaller affair, but earlier Festivals had 20 or 30 balloons inflating and flying on a good day. It is a very early start, as they usually start inflating around 6:30am (or before), but it is nevertheless extremely popular and you normally have a struggle to get good photographs from the ground.
I have attended the Festival at least 10 times, and I have photographs to prove it. Most of them don’t pass my current quality standards, however, and won’t make it onto this page.
